KEEP & PAVILLON LOUIS XIII The medieval keep (rental for up to 10 people) and the Pavillon Louis XIII (rental for up to 14 people) are part of the fortress that was converted in the 13th century into a private residence.
Both the Keep and the Pavillon have separate entrances, gardens or terraces.
As guests you can relax and have your meals outdoors.
You'll be enchanted by a walk in the park, a bit of fishing or boating on the pond and, of course, having a dip in the heated swimming pool in the warmer months.
You can rent the Medieval Keep and/or the Pavillon Louis XIII by the week in the high season or for less than a week out of season.
THE MEDIEVAL KEEP
The Keep tour was built in the 13th century, then enlarged in the 15th century. You'll be immersed in history, but with all the modern comforts.

The Keep has four floors with a granit spiral staircase that is easy to go up or down.
Ground Floor
You will enjoy the expansive medieval dining room with its large fireplace and window which opens out from a very thick wall. The kitchen is equipped with all the modern conveniences you could wish.

First Floor
There is a delightful living space in the round with its unique fresco painted ceiling. Sit by the large gothic fireplace in the wonderful antique furniture.
Rooms
Chambre La Jaubretière, a smaller room with toile de Jouy fabric wallpaper and a large bed. There is a sink and shower in the room with a separate WC.
Second floor: an apartment with two rooms and a large bathroom.Suite Marquis de Maillé, a large room with fabric wallpaper, painted beams and a fireplace. The large bed has columns.
Chambre Princesse, has 2 antique beds with columns. The bathroom has a bathtub, shower and 2 WCs.
Second Floor: an apartment with two rooms, a bathroom and a separate WC.Suite Belle Ecossaise, is a large room with fabric wallpaper. The fireplace is in stone and antique flooring. There is a large bed in the alcove.
Chambre du Connétable Duguesclin, has a large bed, bathroom and separate WC.

LE PAVILLON LOUIS XIII
Le Pavillon Louis XIII is in an independent wing of the medieval castle, including an ancient defensive tower that was modified at the beginning of the 17th century. The rooms are on the ground floor and the first floor.
Ground Floor
There is a large dining room in the tower. Note the remarkable cannon slit - cannonière - an opening typical of the 15th century in the wall for the defense of the castle.
The dining room has a very large table, seating 12 people and the room opens on the lawn outside. Perfect for meals outside in the warmer months.
The kitchen opens on to the dining room and is equipped with all modern conveniences.
In the hallway you'll find a guest toilet with a sink.

First Floor

The living room is in the corner tower. The beams and fireplace in stone are enchanting.
5 Delightful Bedrooms
Alcove, a double room with a resting bed and en-suite shower and WC.
Charette, a double room and a canopy bed sharing the shower and WC with the Alcove room.
Rose, a double room with an en-suite bathroom.
Trianon, a smaller room with a bed (120 centimeters wide) sharing the same bathroom with the Rose room.
Edelweiss, a large family bedroom with four individual beds and a canopy bed. There is a also a shower and WC.
